When we moved into this house six months ago, I could instantly see the potential tucked beneath the red walls and dated finishes. The living room might not have been the prettiest space at first glance, but to me it felt like a true blank canvas—just waiting for a little love and some intentional updates.

Rust Swivel Accent Chairs // Rattan Floor Lamp // Patterned Bud Vase // Electric Fireplace Log // Fireplace Mesh Screen // Real Touch Norfolk Pine Branch
If you missed our renovation progress, definitely check out the before-and-after of this room. It still amazes me how much a few thoughtful changes can transform a space. My husband tackled all the wall treatment, and together we patched, primed, and painted until the room finally felt like “us.”

Dark Red Console Table // Green Pleated Shade Lamp // Colorful Landscape Wall Art // Wireless Picture Light // Catchall Tray
We also removed the old fireplace insert and the giant mirror above the mantel—those two changes alone made the entire room feel so much lighter. It’s wild how small updates can create such a big shift in the feel of a home, and now this room has become one of my absolute favorites.

Oak Bookshelf // Boppin Rechargeable Lamp // Striped Picture Frame // Ruffled Glass Bud Vase // Scalloped Wooden Box
Over the past few months, I’ve been slowly and intentionally gathering pieces to furnish the space. I’m aiming for that cozy, slightly whimsical vibe, but I’m also sticking to a budget—so I’ve turned it into a fun challenge to find “looks for less.” Think: pieces that look high-end but come without the high-end price tag. Honestly, you’d never guess how affordable these finds are!

Adeline Antique Brass Double Wall Sconce // Flameless Taper Candles
We chose not to hardwire sconces at the moment to keep it budget-friendly, so these candle sconces were just perfect accents around the fireplace. They really add to the cozy whimsical feel.

Star Light Trees // Cozy Faux Fur Throw
I’m planning to keep these trees up for as long as I can to get us through the dark, cold winter nights.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a little tour of our living room! I hope it gives you a bit of inspiration for creating a space you truly love—one thoughtful piece at a time.
