Our kitchen doesn’t have the space for a full coffee bar—and a big renovation isn’t on the horizon just yet—we decided to get creative and set one up in our dining room instead. And honestly? I’m so in love with how it turned out! This little nook adds so much warmth and charm to the space. If you’ve been dreaming of a cozy coffee bar setup but aren’t sure how to make it work in a small space, I’m sharing all the details of how we pulled ours together so you can see just how doable it really is.
If you’re new here, we recently bought a 1949 classic New England cape. It’s a fixer-upper with really good bones, so we’re going room by room and renovating it. One of the things I knew I wanted to add to the dining room makeover was a cozy coffee nook—because coffee has basically become a love language for me since having two kids.

My Favorite Organic Coffee
That ritual of brewing a cup (in the midst of the morning rush!) feels like a moment of self-care and it’s truly something I look forward to every single day. And speaking of coffee—I have to share my favorite: Purity Coffee. Their beans are third-party tested to make sure they’re free of pesticide residue, mold and mycotoxins, you know the stuff we don’t want in our mugs. They also partner with regenerative organic small farms, which makes the coffee taste as fresh as it feels good to drink. I love knowing the quality is top notch. Our Coffee Bar Setup
Now, let’s talk about the coffee bar! The first step was finding a cabinet that would fit in the corner of our dining room, not too big or small, just perfect. I fell in love with this piece (reminds me of one that looks almost the same but is way more expensive)—it’s black with a faux marble top, and the tiny brass knobs give it the sweetest detail. Above it, I added warm brown shelves with faux brass accents that compliment the cabinet so well. The combination instantly gave the space that cozy vibe I was going for.

Fall Decor and Coffee Bar Must Haves
Once the big pieces were in, it was time for the fun part: styling! I layered in little touches of Fall (tis’ the season)—a cute stacked pumpkin, some moody wall art, and glass jars filled with coffee and tea. I can’t get over the cork ball lids on these jars—they’re so playful and fun! I also added a gorgeous wooden board and some pretty canisters to hold snacks and treats, something for everyone. My kids love picking out a treat from here.
Of course, no coffee bar would be complete without my favorite French press! I love that it’s made entirely of stainless steel and comes in different sizes. I keep a single-serve French press for my morning coffee (so convenient for just me!), and I also have a larger one that’s perfect for when friends and family are over visiting.
Inside the cabinet, I tucked in hyacinth baskets to store napkins, tablecloths, and other dining essentials. It keeps everything organized and easy to grab for meals.

Cozy Coffee Bar / Nook
This little coffee bar has quickly become my favorite nook in the house. It’s amazing how a simple corner can feel so intentional and inviting with just the right touches. Now every time I grab a cup of coffee, the space reminds me to slow down and enjoy the moment. It’s the perfect reminder that even the smallest spaces can bring so much joy.
